This perfect present
Sometimes you just have to stop and be grateful for the passing moment.
A quiet house.
Two floors above me are three children and my beloved have all surrendered to the embrace of their comforters.
They are lost in their dreams.
Good night loves.
There is no sound except for the noise of my fingers kissing the keyboard.
Deep silence.
That is sometimes broken by the snoring of a furry puppy behind me on the couch.
Everyone in my house is resting.
Except for me, I am vibrating with harmony.
And joy.
I am just enjoying the peace.
In this moment everything is perfect.
Although there are storms that linger on the horizon of my life they are not here in this moment.
In this moment I am free to live without fear of what awaits me tomorrow.
I am free because I am able to recognize this perfect present.
It feels like I have caught a perfect wave of self awareness.
To pay attention to the here and now and recognize how sacred it is.
Right now I don't have to worry about all the mistakes I have made today.
Right now my slate is clean.
The usually loud chorus of inner critics are all mute.
They have lowered the voices in reverence to this now.
It is when all the noise of my life is turned off that I feel God the most.
Here in the quiet I am stripped of all my agenda's, wants, and complaints.
It is just me and the divine.
I am pretty surprised that I have given my self the chance to recognize what is happening right now.
Usually I fight silence with more chaos....not tonight.
Tonight I granted myself a chance to just feel the moment.
Good job John.
This is the way it should be.
To live in silent awe of what gifts exist in the present moment.
I think if I did this I would love my fellow man more.
A lot more.
It is getting late.
It is now morning.
Here is the perfect song for how I feel this morning....
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Good Morning.
By William Fitzsimmons
Moonlight will fall
Winter will end
Harvest will come
Your heart will mend
Goodmorning
Goodmorning
You will find love
Goodmorning
You will find love
You will find love
You will find love
Goodmorning
You will find love
Goodmorning
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A very good
and silent
morning.
A very perfect
and passing
now.
Everything in my house is still.
Everything is as it should be in this moment.
I am grateful right now.
Very grateful.

John,
This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this moment with the rest of the world. It is cause for much reflection. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves...is to just be...to just live. To be silent and listen to our inner voice...the quiet whisper in which god speaks to us. Your family is very blessed, and With the love you have for eachother and god, you'll be able to overcome whatever storms lie ahead....may they be few and far between.
