I never ever ever never write entries that are either political in nature or controversial.  I do this because I recognize the following:

1) I am usually wrong about most things.

2) I would hate to offend the eight people who read this blog.  Odds are that if I post a hot button post then I run the risk of scaring four of you off.

So I post the following thoughts knowing that I am breaking my blog-o-rama rules.  Please continue reading, and if your touchy meter starts rising please know that I am equally uncomfortable as I type this...

Ok, you may be asking "who is Michael Savage, and why has he earned the wrath of John Roedel?"

This gentleman is Michael Savage:



Looks like a nice guy, right?

You might now him...he wrote the book "Savage Nation".

Savage has been involved in talk radio since 1994.  His motto at the beginning  "To the right of Rush and to the left of God."

Since he began his show he has always been a controversial figure who often times find himself in controversy valley.  He has offended Muslims, Catholics, Democrats, Republicans, and people of various sexualities, genders, races, and ages.  Savage will say what he thinks...which is usually something that is bathed in a closed mindedness that would probably be too extreme for the KKK.

In March of 2003 Savage got his own show on MSNBC of all networks.  This failed experiment ended just a four months later after his on air meltdown that was aimed at a caller.  He said things in this rant that would curdle freshly squeezed cow milk..

In short...he is a real winner.  And allthough on most issues he aligns behind the Republican party he has caused them more grief then he will ever know.  He has in some cases become the poster boy for republican stereotyping. 

He is a closed minded monkey sniffer.

Why am I writing about this human challenged meat bag?

Because of this comment he made recently on his nationally syndicated talk show:

Now, our good friend Savage has another autism audio out there that is much more vile then this one.  I am not putting it here as I don't really want to promote his quarter-brained logic any more than I already have.  I am not really writing this in hopes that someday Savage will actually read this and come to understand the heartache he causes when he offers up this litany of utter stupidity. 

I am writing this in hopes that someday a listener of his (and there are a bunch..he gets monster ratings) will email me and tell me how they can justify hearing his slop on a day to day basis.

I know what some people will tell me..."He tells it like it is" or I might hear "He's not afraid to speak the truth".  Those reasons are fine and good...but really at the end of the day Michael Savage is not a man who loves his fellow man.  He is a man who loves people who believe what he says...everyone else he has a strong disregard for.

Of course this post is playing right into his sulfuric hands.  I firmly believe that he says one third of his crap just to enrage poor schmo's like myself into chomping at his demonic bit.  The scary thing is...the other two thirds of the crap he says he actually believes...yikes.

Do yourself a favor.  If you know someone who listens to Captain Sunshine here please set up an intervention.  I would be happy to come over and explain how this ignorant bottom feeder is helping tear this country apart rather than build it up. (as he claims to be doing) 

I am all kinds of angry right now. 

I need to cleanse this potion out of me....

Savage, I forgive you.  I forgive you for not knowing about what you are talking about most of the time.  I forgive you for living in your own head, and being the greatest person you know.  I forgive you for fear mongering those who you have been entranced with your four pack a day radio voice.  I forgive you for mocking ethnic groups, religions, and people with AIDS. 

Can you forgive us for not being as smart as you are?

Didn't think so.
