I have always held Steve Martin in high regard.  I have always looked up to him as a true artist.  He can do it all...stand up, acting, directing, writing, and yes even painting.  In the question of who would you most like to have dinner with, Martin is always one of my first choices.  I would love to pick his brain, get to know the man, and find reasons to want my children to get to know him.

Well I will never have dinner with the man, but this morning I was able to get to pick his brain, get to know him, and find reasons to want my children to know him.  I spent my whole morning at a Star bucks reading his book " Born Standing Up".  It is funny, moving, and inspirational.  It is a must read for anyone!!!  I could not put it down...and found myself at times laughing out loud and at other times keeping my emotions in check.  He is my hero.

For all you who are looking for something to read on a cold winter night I implore you to get a copy.  I am getting one for many of my friends today.
